dotDefender Blocked Your Request message - How to search an event by Reference ID
Posted by - NA -, Last modified by on 03 August 2008 11:56 AM

When an HTTP request is blocked by dotDefender, a Reference ID is generated. In cases where the blocked request is legitimate, the user will see a Reference ID in the default Blocked-Request page.

When a webmaster is given a Reference ID by the user, this ID can be used in the Log Viewer to find the event details. This is done by pressing the search icon in the top toolbar of the Log Viewer and selecting the Reference ID option. The full Reference ID should be typed.

In all versions of dotDefender, the event details can also be found by searching for the Reference ID in the Windows event viewer under the Applicure branch. This is done by selecting the Applicure branch, right-clicking the Applicure branch, selecting View and then Find. The reference ID (Full or partial) should be typed in the Description field.
