Blocking an IP address : 1. Open the dotDefender Administrative Console 2. Expand the security profile 3. Expand the Patterns section 4. Expand the Whitelist category 5. Select User Defined 6. On the right pane, select Add New Rule 7. In the "Adding New Rule" wizard, type a description for the rule and click Next 8. Select "Search in client remote address" and click Next 9. In the "Pattern to search" field, type a regular expression representing the IP address and click Next. For example: For the IP address: 179.168.1.80, type: ^179\.168\.1\.80$ 10.
